„Puly Caff“ Calcinet® — concentrated descaling powder
Professional sulfamic acid descaler for espresso machine boilers, dishwashers, glasswashers and heat exchangers. 1 kg jar.
Calcinet® is a descaling powder made in Italy by „Asachimici“ under the „Puly Caff“ brand. It quickly dissolves the limescale and magnesium deposits that build up wherever water is heated — in boilers, heat exchangers and pipes, and on heating elements. Scale build-up increases electricity and detergent consumption, and the deposits can harbour bacteria.
The main active ingredient is sulfamic acid. According to the manufacturer, the powder does not corrode boilers, heat exchangers or copper pipes and does not damage rubber seals. It is white, odourless and dissolves readily in water.
Applications
- Espresso machine boilers.
- Bar and domestic dishwashers, bar glasswashers and their heating elements.
- Heat exchangers and copper pipes, accessories and spare parts.
Directions for use
Dosage. Use no more than 100 g of powder per litre of water (1 kg per 10 litres) — any more will not dissolve. If you descale frequently, you can reduce this to 30 g per litre (300 g per 10 litres).
Descaling a dishwasher or glasswasher:
- Switch off and unplug the machine, drain all the water, take out the rack, rinse the filters under running water and check that the spray nozzles are not blocked and the wash arms turn freely.
- Dissolve half a jar (500 g) in 5 litres of hot water and pour the solution into the machine instead of detergent.
- Switch the machine back on, run one full wash cycle, then drain the solution completely.
- Refill the machine with clean water, run a rinse cycle, drain the water, and only then add detergent again.
Accessories, spare parts and boilers. Dissolve 1 kg of powder in 10 litres of very hot water. Immerse the parts completely and leave them to soak for an hour, then rinse thoroughly under running water.
Descale as soon as you see deposits — or better still, before they build up and damage the equipment. Afterwards, check that all the scale is gone and repeat if necessary.
Warning: causes skin irritation and serious eye irritation (H315, H319); harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects (H412). Wear gloves and safety glasses. Do not mix with alkaline products such as detergents or caustic degreasers. Keep the jar tightly closed in a cool, dry place at no more than 30 °C, out of direct sunlight and away from alkaline products and oxidising agents.
