Espresso grinder with 74 mm flat burrs
The „Ascaso“ P74 is a professional espresso grinder designed for fast, easy work in cafés, bars and anywhere else coffee is made.
Spanish manufacturer • Since 1962
Barcelona's „Ascaso“ makes espresso machines and grinders for people who value quality and good design. The company started out in 1962 making spare parts for espresso machines, and today its hand-built machines are sold in more than 95 countries.
MB „Restoranų įranga“ is the official distributor of „Ascaso Factory“ S.L.U. in Lithuania.
Developed with baristas
„Ascaso“ develops its machines with experienced baristas, so you get a perfect extraction time after time. Precise control over every brewing parameter lets you work fast without compromising quality.
Stainless steel water circuit
„Ascaso“ uses stainless steel for most parts in contact with water, from the heating elements to the filters. The steel is hygienic and resists limescale, so your coffee tastes good and the machine stays reliable.
Coffee in one minute
The electronically controlled „Ascaso“ thermoblock heats only when needed, which saves energy. You can brew coffee a minute after switching on, with a constant supply of steam.

The P74 is made for coffee shops and other venues that grind a lot of coffee, day in, day out.
The large flat burrs grind precisely and consistently, so once the grind is dialled in, every shot comes out aromatic, with a good crema.
Matching the grind to the blend, the roast and even the humidity in the air takes a quick turn of the stepless knob on the upper right: clockwise for finer, anticlockwise for coarser.
Every dose comes out freshly ground: with a 10% burr tilt and an almost vertical chute, retention is kept to a minimum.
Up to three recipes give you the same dose whoever is on the bar. Each one appears on the display with its grinding time and an icon — single, double or bottomless — and starts with a press of the knob or of the grind button by the portafilter.
You can check a dose by weight: pause the grind, weigh the coffee in the portafilter and carry on from exactly where you stopped.
In recipe-on-demand mode you control the grind with the portafilter alone: the grinder runs while you hold it against the grind button. Pull it away and grinding pauses; push it back and the grinder picks up from the same point until the recipe is done.
To tweak a recipe, a shortcut on the home screen takes you straight to its grinding time. For any other amount, continuous mode grinds for as long as you hold down the key.
The illuminated holder supports the portafilter under the spout, so both hands stay free and work at the bar flows smoothly. You choose how the light works: always on, on while grinding, or off.
Grinding into a dosing cup or any other container is just as easy: swap the portafilter holder for the supplied cover — each releases with the button just below it.
The spout comes off with a slight twist and the magnetic tray lifts off in one move, so the workstation is quick to tidy.
An aluminium body and high-quality materials make the grinder sturdy and reliable, and an automatic fan keeps the motor cool.
Switching beans or cleaning the burrs is quick: slide in the shut-off gate and lift the hopper off with the beans still inside. A safety interlock checks that the hopper is properly seated before the grinder dispenses.
Compared with the H64, the P74 grinds faster and has larger burrs, a more powerful motor and a hopper five times the size.

For espresso at home, or for a compact grinder with a single-dose kit, choose the „Ascaso“ H64.
One set of burrs grinds 400–600 kg of coffee. The statistics screen shows burr wear as a percentage and the kilograms ground, in total and per recipe. When the burrs are due for replacement, the grinder lets you know.
Clean burrs keep every dose accurate: grinder cleaners such as „Puly Grind Crystals“ clean the burrs and other internal parts thoroughly.
The grinder comes with a 1.5 kg bean hopper fitted with a shut-off gate, a portafilter holder, a cover for grinding into a dosing cup or another container, and a removable magnetic tray.
